Street Crime v3 Progress

Thursday, March 19th, 2009

Over the last 2 – 3 weeks we have been working hard on version 3 of Street Crime Gangster game. We are already extremely excited by how its developing and look forward to showing you all the hard work that has gone into the new version, we are certain that the wait is well worth it!

Progress to date:

So far we have been largely concentrating on the outside pages of Street Crime, this includes the registration process, forgotten password, a brand new game wiki, an external forum and a news blog which we will be using to keep everyone upto date with the latest events. We are 90% complete on this stage of development and hope to have this finished by the end of the week.

The outside pages will now work more smoothly making the sign up process, login process etc a much more user friendly experience. We are now using a emailing system within the Zend Framework which we hope will enable a higher success rate of receiving emails, something which has frustrated many a user in the past.

The blog and forum allows users to make comments on the game and view our latest updates in a much easier way, the blog even has RSS feeds which you can subscribe to which allow you to keep on top of all updates much more quickly.

Along with a more secure and bug free coding of the outside pages we also have new graphics. These new graphics are a huge improvement on what we have now and put us amongst the top games in terms of appearance. The new graphics will also flow through into the game itself giving us a much smoother transition between the outside interface and the game interface.

We are also working hard on  a marketing/advertising strategy which we hope will bolster the numbers of players playing the game to make the overall gaming experience a better one for everyone. Included in this advertising strategy is a much more improved search engine optimised website meaning we will be in a better position to draw people in from search engines such as google. Along with this we will be advertising the game on other websites in order to increase the number of players currently playing the game.

We have also setup a group on Facebook and an account on Twitter from which you can show your support to Street Crime. If you use either of these please make sure you add Street Crime:

We dont currently have a deadline for the release of version 3 of Street Crime however we can assure you we are working hard to make this happen as quickly as possible.
